The twenty-two national Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC)
have unique knowledge of and access to diverse disability and aging market
segments. Each RERC conducts research and is required to transfer technology
into the marketplace benefiting persons with disabilities. RERC benefit private
sector partners by identifying market needs, pursing innovative research,
and collaborating on the design, development, testing and validation of products.
The RERC on Technology Transfer facilitates the introduction of new and innovative
products into the marketplace by providing a range of services to RERC and
private sector partners.
