Home Healthcare will be a pervasive reality when mainstream manufacturers
are flooding the marketplace with affordable, high quality products. Parallels
from the disability marketplace suggests that the transition from basic and
applied research conducted in universities, technical corporations and federal
laboratories; to an emerging marketplace with incomplete product offerings
and societal support; to a mature market with comprehensive, affordable,
high quality product offerings may be initiated by a societal paradigm shift,
codified in seminal legislation.
