The number of people who are experiencing functional declines in vision,
hearing, and mobility is growing rapidly as the baby boomer generation ages.
Currently, over fifty million people in the U.S. have some level of vision,
hearing, speech, mobility, or cognitive disability. Companies within the
mobile wireless industry who utilize universal and trans-generational design
specifications are in a position to profit by designing accessible products
that serve this expanding market segment.
