Entrepreneurial innovation and technology advancements continually offer opportunities for developing or improving products. The field of products for persons with disabilities -- assistive technology -- benefit from such innovations and advancements. Realities of the marketplace constrain the inventor's, manufacturer's and customer' ability to access these opportunities. The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technology Evaluation and Transfer functions as a technology transfer intermediary to overcome these marketplace constraints. The paper presents the RERC-TET's various roles as an intermediary. These roles may be appropriate for others to support technology transfer within small, niche markets.
