DP2: Demand Pull Program

Technology Available for Commercialization

The Demand Pull Project is working to transfer technologies that meet critical needs of people with mobility, hearing, communication, and visual impairments. On-going project activities include active negotiations between technology developers and manufacturers, cooperative research and development agreements with government agencies, prototype testing, collaborative Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) development, and technology licensing for manufacture, distribution and sale.

The Demand Pull Project is seeking business partners for located technologies and expanded commercialization of successfully transferred technologies. A Technology Disclosure provides a non-proprietary introduction to these technologies and includes:

  • Abstract
  • Business Opportunity
  • Technology Description
  • State of Intellectual Property
  • Business Objective
  • Contact Information
  • Keywords
  • References

Technology Disclosures can be found below for the following technology areas.

  • Wheeled Mobility (tires, chargers, monitors, manual propulsion, continuously variable transmissions, adaptive motors)
  • Hearing Enhancement (binaural hearing aids, assistive listening systems, small group communication)
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (communication processing, input and output interfaces, wireless integration)
  • Visual Impairment (access to text, graphics, and consumer electronics, and wayfinding)

If you are interested in more information or wish to pursue a business partnership, please contact Steve Bauer at smbauer@buffalo.edu or 716-829-3141 x117.
